I've found adding large value caps.. to the PS output helps a lot. 50,000uF
seems to be sufficient.

No name or Chinese brand power supplies tend to be garbage and generate
loads of RFI. These should be deathly avoided or modified to be clean.

Agree with the others, PS output under load should be 5.25V. PS current
rating should be at least 3A.
