Hi Steve. Thank you for the reminder. I read that a few years ago and was
intrigued. My thinking is since app-rpt  has the functionality built-in
already, (although using usbradio), that perhaps it could be implemented,
but keeping the repeater decoding the input. 

I was looking at COP 58 and 59, and found a PDF write-up on hamvoip, but the
more I read, the more confused I got.
Would this be a solution, and where do you set the PL frequency for it if
so? I couldn't work out if the PL outputs on the output or the input.
