[arm-allstar] Cellular Modem

Ive been trying (unsuccessfully) to get a cellular USB modem to use as a portable internet connection for HamVOIP.
Ive attempted to follow a few different set of instructions to no avail.
I install ppp and i install usb_modeswitch  
using minicom terminal, I get a connection with the following AT command
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IPV4V6","fast.t-mobile.com"

The connection stays connected for approximately 10 seconds, then disconnects.  You can see that here with the SMONI command
AT^SMONI^SMONI: 4G,2325,4,15,15,FDD,310,260,C3D3,F5030E2,503,--,-75,-6.0,CONN
OKAT^SMONI^SMONI: 4G,2325,4,15,15,FDD,310,260,C3D3,F5030E2,503,35,-74,-6.5,NOCONN

Im not sure what to troubleshoot from here...
