Hi Darrell,

This shouldn't be happening with the most recent HamVoIP code. There was
an issue where outbound, permanent connections could cause system "pauses"
when the Internet was down. I made some code changes last October to
reduce/resolve the impact of that problem. Since that code update, this is 
the first case I've heard of that sounded like the same problem.

As a first diagnostic step, what code rev are you running?  This info can
be found using option #10 from the admin menu.
