[arm-allstar] Locked out again from SSH -

I just rebuilt my node due to SSH password being denied:
'root at 192.168.0.20's password:
Permission denied, please try again.'
I KNOW MY SSH PASSWORD, I know that I am typing it correctly.
Last time this happened I suspected corruption and found some evidence of
this in the chrontab -e. Where there was a bunch of jumbled characters.
This is a bit frustrating as I upgraded to a class 10 micro SD card in
hopes that I would eliminate this issue, sadly less that 2 weeks from a
fresh ISO I'm getting the same exact error.
1.) What steps would the hive mind suggest to evaluate what the issue is?
I have heard of power supply issues, I'm using an apple 10W 'wall wart'
like this one:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Apple-iPad-10W-USB-Power-Adapter/15148943
2.) Is there a single most preferred power supply that I should use in
favor of my current solution?
