[arm-allstar] asterisk manager interface debug mode

Cqan anyone tell me how to get the asterisk manager interface in to some 
sort of debug mode?

I've been using node remote on iOS for about 3 weeks now, and it was 
working fine until this morning

Now when I open node remote, after about 3 seconds a box pops up with 
the word error in it and it goes back to the list of nodes.

I've restarted asterisk, rebooted the pi, and restarted the iPhone.

when I telnet to port 5038 it does open a connection to the asterisk 
manager.

Some asterisk docs I found said that you can type manager set debug on 
to enable debug mode at the cli, but that is giving me an invalid command.

Thanks for any ideas people might have for tracking this down.
