Good day Doug
Thank you very much for replying.
I followed your comment and did call the option "V" from
simpleusb-tune-menu.
With option USBINVERT, selecting option V :-
COS INPUT=KEYED
PTT=CLEAR
No activity even when pressing the PTT of my HT.
With option USB, selecting option V :-

I presume the issue is related to my sound FOB. But I still cannot
understand why there is no activity when pressing the PTT of the HT. The
FOB responds to Option D (PTT and Tone Output).
Under bash shell, I ran command "lsusb" to check whether the sound FOB was
active on the PI. I also run AlsaMixer. I was surprised to see that the
level for MIC was Zero. Even after adjustment, the above issue remains.
The sound FOB looks similar to the one used here.
http://www.crompton.com/hamradio/usb_fob_modification/ . The sound chip
has epoxy on it and is definitely not going to be easy to solder as the
pins appear thinner than a hair. Anyway I will give it a try tonight.
