[arm-allstar] Reboot after few minutes

Tony,
Agreed. The problem with the car adapters is two fold. One is that they
are a non-adjustable fixed voltage output and right at or slightly less
than 5V at load. When you go through the reverse voltage protector and the
polyfuse on the Pi 3B+ the voltage could drop to lower than the trip point
for low voltage detect. The other problem is reliability. We have seen
several failures but there are so many Chinese sellers it is hard to figure
which ones are good and which ones are not. There is also no way to tell
exactly what is inside. There is no way to remove the epoxy. There are so
hard even cutting them in a band saw is difficult to do and doesn't really
tell you anything. I use wall warts here mostly bought from Microcenter for
the Pi. If I was going to use a discrete supply I would go for one of the
open board buck converters with adjustable output rated at 3A. Use a
digital meter to set it to 5.2V when plugging into the .
Here is an example of the open board -

And a fancy one with a readout for voltage in and out and current -
