[arm-allstar] Controller Connections

Mike, the RC210 uses a DB9 connector and the DMK-URI is too large to plug two in a row. I think that the RIM Lite is the more appropriate method short of making my own cable. We're not looking to get fancy with our configuration. We want basic I/O of audio and PTT. These statements also show my naiveté of the many features of Allstar. We've had running in a basic form for about 5 years but using a radio at my home relaying to the repeater. We had no data at the site until recently. As far as Echolink, I’m in favor of it. Too many people have audio problems and stuck mics – my cat sat on the key, LOL – so I’m not sure that we’ll turn it on. But it is widely used and accepted by others. I can be made a believer.

I appreciate your input and welcome any and all from anyone. I'm and not ashamed to ask for help.

Repeater Builder makes the RIM Lite, one version specifically for the
RC210. We use it, had a couple quirks at first that ended up being a bad
USB cable, and have had no problems since. Everyone else recommends the
DMK-URI if you want to spend a bit more money.

You can run Echolink from the same node, however the Hamvoip image doesn’t
support Echolink Proxy, so keep that in mind.
