[arm-allstar] A question for node builders bf888s

Alan,

    You did not mention if you have the 888 in PL mode? You must use PL (or
DCS) on any radio connected to Allstar as noise bursts can cause even a
heavily squelched radio to occasionally assert COS.

If this is not the case and you do have PL on in the 888 make sure it is
working by keying into it with another radio with its transmit PL turned on
and off. It should only open when PL is on and COS should only assert when
PL is on. I think on the Baofeng the LED will light with signal regardless
of whether PL is turned on or off. You need to get PL on the Baofeng from
pin 1 of the IC not from the LED. With Baofeng PL on you should only hear
yourself from its speaker when you are transmitting PL.
