[arm-allstar] A question for node builders bf888s

Hi Group

I have a problem creating a node using the BF888s HT and wondered if any of you guys have experienced the same issue.

Firstly I have created a large number of allstar nodes over the last few years using the modified usb sound fobs and the BF888s HT, and generally I do not have any issues.

However on odd occasions some purchased  BF888s momentarily goes into RX, basically the green RX led flip flops on and off, this then causes the node to go into TX which causes issues on the network.

I know its not the interface causing these issues as the radio does this straight out of the box.

I have also tried changing frequencies on the HT to no avail.

So to recap its just the odd HT that I buy that does this.

The other question is has anyone else experimented with different HT's other than the BF888s and the UV82.

Any ideas guys
