[arm-allstar] Linking AllStar with SvxLink

Mike,

A couple of ideas that might work. Why not have a fixed node somewhere
that has Internet be the node everyone connects to and then connect that
node to the actual physical repeater site via the hotspot or other means?
There is nothing special about everyone connect to the site and in fact
with a more limited connection like a hotspot it would be better to have
only one connection to the site.

A hotspot would work but also explore the possibility of a wifi link to the
site. Ubiquity makes great inexpensive links that would bring Internet to
your site from a fixed site that has Internet. Perhaps someone from your
club would volunteer to make their Internet available. It would have little
impact on someone’s high speed Internet. It would cost about $150 for
BOTHJ ends and you would have no recurring cost like you would with a
hotspot.

Two examples. As long as you have good line of sight they should work to as
much as 10 miles or more.
