Be advised that the GM300, MaxTrac and Radius series of Motorola radios 
are rated for about 15-20% duty cycle. If the node that drives the radio 
is connected to a busy net for instance, the duty cycle will be far 
greater, approaching 100% which will burn out the finals in the radio 
within a few months.

I learned that simple fact the hard way with a 50W Radius M120. It's 
better to use a lower-wattage model such as  2- or 4W and amplify to get 
the desired power output.

before visiting a hamfest ... make a list of the model numbers you want 
for easy comparison at the scene.
