[arm-allstar] Motorola Radio

Everyone has their favorites - but I lean towards Motorola GM300's or the little GR1225 or RKR1225 repeaters. They are relatively plentiful on Ebay. The only caveat is getting someone to program it for you. The software is ancient and Motorola doesn't give it away. All three of the aforementioned radios can utilize little tiny plug in modules for a URI (search for RIM-Maxtrac) that plug right into the "already there" 16 pin connector on the back of the radios, leaving you with a usb cable coming out of the back of the radio to plug right into the Ras-Pi.
Simple, reliable and pretty robust, to a point. They ARE old radios and everything eventually fails. Keep that in mind.
