[arm-allstar] Newlines and EchoLink

Doug,

 

Echolink is attached to the same node and I have Duplex=1. What other goofy setting could I have set wrong?

 I rarely have Echolink connections on my hubs and no one has ever reported not hearing it but that does not mean it is working. It is possible that telemetry does not go out over Echolink and maybe even IRLP but I think it should.  Is anyone else seeing this?

 

Another question is what duplex mode are you running in rpt.conf? If you are running  duplex=0 then that is your problem

 

Also Just to confirm - is your Echolink attached to the same node where you are running playnews?

It will play out any allstar node that's connected to us just not out to Echolink nodes that are connected. 

Should I try and take the G off?

LLoyd,

  You need to use playnews globally not locally for it to go outside of your node and the RF side. Are you doing that? Putting a G on the end of the line or leaving it off assumes Global. This would then go to all connected nodes.
