Hi Jamey,
Yes, the HamVoIP image should be able to control the TM-271A, using the
same rpt.conf syntax as found in the ACID software.
HOWEVER, that code in app_rpt is on the list to be replaced / updated.
Hamlib should control the TM-271A as well. I have a TM-G707 and a TM-281
I'm going to experiment with as soon as time allows. Currently I'm using
MaxTrac radios for remote bases and they work very well---well enough that
the Kenwood project got moved to the "back burner."
