I assume you meant half-duplex (because you said duplex=0)
If you run Allstar half-duplex into the repeater, one way you can still play
"messages" (using the playback command) is to create a dummy full-duplex
node (like 1999) configured as full-duplex and link it to your repeater
node. You do the playbacks on the full-duplex dummy node and they come out
on any linked nodes, including the repeater node.
The only problem I have found with this arrangement is that you cannot break
into the system on RF while the playback is in progress. The repeater,
being half-duplex, is not listening while it is transmitting - which could
be a (for example) a 20-minute long bulletin. So keep the playbacks short.
