David,
After a large amount of testing, I think your on to something.
I did transmit into a dummy load and no issues were present.
Not sure your aware, but the TYT transmits at 10W at it's lowest power,
which is way more than I need. The antenna is 10ft from the radio and Pi,
which I suspect it the issue.
I'm pushing all my RF into a dummy load for now to see if that helps the
issue with the TYT, or it's back to the Baofung 888 at a 1/2 watt to help
solve the issue.
