[arm-allstar] Allstar and Icom radios

I'd like to talk with anyone who has successfully interfaced and controlled
an Icom ic-7100 or similar ic-7000, ic-706.
Since the Icom control codes use a backwards compatible structure the
ic-7100 just builds on an existing set of commands.
I have the DB9 to 1/8 data control cable.
I want to know if anyone has connected this to the PI and how it was done.
Then I could use lots of help figuring out how to get the hamlib code to
access and operate the radio with allstar functions or macros.
If anyone can help out please contact me off list since I suspect this will
be a lengthy exchange and I don't want to flood this list with messages most
of the group just has to delete.
