Doug,
Thank you, I guess I'm not passing good dtmf codes from the repeater through an RC210 controller into the node. I ran Asterisk CLI client to see the dtmf codes and I only see this. Thinking I have something set wrong.

I'm able to do *976 and click on dtmf from Supermon and it works, but not dtmf from a radio.

Lloyd,
You can't start the script with the NOW command as it requires a key press
to start. You could go in and eliminate the key press start in the script
for the NOW option. Commenting the "read -n 1" line by placing a # before
it should solve your problem.
echo "$NEWSTYPE news will start $TIME and use $MODE $MODETYPE mode on node
- $NODE"
echo -n "Press any key to start news..."
read -n 1

Doug or anyone,
I'm having trouble playing Amateur Radio Newsline by using dtmf, it never
starts playing.
976=cmd,/etc/asterisk/local/playnews-0.11 ARN now 42449 G &> /dev/null
2>&1 ;Newsline *976
I've been able to run it using crontab and from the command line with
./playnews_0.11 ARN now 42449.
With the command line has a part where the script stop till you "press any
key to start news".
else
echo "$NEWSTYPE news will start $TIME and use $MODE $MODETYPE mode on node
- $NODE"
echo -n "Press any key to start news..."
read -n 1
fi
Do I need to make a change to the script so I can use dtmf to start it?
Lloyd
