[arm-allstar] Node RX not repeating

Andy,
You cannot run a simpleusb node without COS. It will never key. You must
have a COS signal in order for it to know the node radio, in your case the
uv5r, is receiving. You would set item J - cosfrom to either usb or
usbinvert depending on which way the COS signal is active when the the node
radio is receiving. The simpleusb-tune-menu program has a 'V' option which
shows the status of the COS lines. It should show 'keyed' when the node
radio is receiving a signal. The node radio is usually always in PL or DTS
mode to eliminate false keys.
The UV5 could be modified to get the proper signals or you could use a
Baofeng 888 and modify as shown in the howto's at hamvoip.org. Many other
radios supply the COS signal often on a 6 pin din on the rear or in the
case of the Alinco DR-x35 radios on a DB9 connector.
