Glenn,
That looks right. Best thing to do - open asterisk clients for BOTH.
Connect using the client from one to the other and see what messages you
get at BOTH ends. If you are not see anything at the other end then it is
never getting there. Let me know what you are seeing.
My suspicion is you may not have extensions.conf setup? You need an entry
for 1997 since you added that.
