Greetings all
I am new to all star although have dabbled in digital modes for some time
and run a dstar node here in our town. Raspberry pi with a small modem and
simoco sr9000 radio which passes the c4.
I decided that since I have an unlimited connection and fiber to the home I
would also setup an all star link and connect it to our local repeater.
The imgage installed perfectly and once I got the radio sorted out I could
hear things like time and call sign coming back every hour.
However the node would not respond to my dtmf commands.
Going into the simple usb setup I can see my modulation by selecting item 2
from the menu and this is set to 400.
Going into the j option I have selected usb.
Using the DTMF option I can see my tones being decoded in the correct order
and I did this with two different radios both with the same results. To see
this I copy and pasted this from the help menu into the bash shell.
Yet I cannot get any reponce if I request to connect to a node request node
info or request the time.
However at some obscure time it will reply to my requests by sending
everything I have requested all at once with the voices over the top of one
another.
I have been trying to resolve this and as yet am unable to find a solution,
at this point I have not edited the asterisk client as I don’t know enough
about this. I have been trying to read up about this but I am finding it a
little to heavy going hence I’m putting my hand up for help.
My Equipment
Raspberry pi 2
Urix controller
into an Icom VHF transceiver
For test purposes this is running into a dummy load and I have two hand
held radios on low power that I am using to attempt access and sent dtmf
link and unlink command to.
I’m hoping some one on here can give me some pointers although my Linux
skills are limited an I may need some help with these.
