Eric,
As Dave pointed out it seems like a network problem which I would
investigate first but also are you using a permanent connect? That is *73
vs *3. A permanent connect will keep a link up through outages anywhere
between you and the node you are connecting to. Of course if the you reboot
or someone disconnects at your end the connection will cease. The reboot
could also be an Asterisk crash restart. While that is not likely it can
happen. This is why you have to keep your eye on BOTH the system uptime and
the Asterisk uptime when that happens - core show uptime in the client.
