You're essentially reporting three bugs:
1. Links fail
2. Permanent links do not automatically reconnect
3. Allmon shows an incorrect link status

Microwave link quality affects #1, and possibly #2 if it's a prolonged
issue. Being able to confirm "my data show the microwave links were
performing to spec the whole time" would really help with debugging
#1.
