[arm-allstar] Playnews migration to v1.5

Robert,

 When you run playnews manually from the Linux command line are you getting
any errors? Are you getting to any point shown below?

I just loaded it here in V1.5 and it works fine. Printout below showing
download and preparation and files in /tmp. Note when you interupt it you
need to delete files in /tmp   - rm -rf /tmp/news*
