Hi David,

Yes, I'm running V1.5. The menu is a very nice addition. That's how I
changed the two settings that I had set wrong during setup. Interestingly,
now it seems to be working exactly right - as long as I have the radio
laying on my desk with the cable pulled as far as possible from the antenna.
If it gets too close I get noise. I think I saw something about that in the
888 document.  Either it's getting too close to the antenna or I've got a
short.  

I will pull the radio apart again tomorrow to check that out. If moving the
cable away from the antenna solves the noise problem I may drill a hole in
the case and pull the cable out from somewhere else.

Hi Dan,

I'm guessing you're using the V1.5 hamvoip release?  If so, you can now
dynamically adjust all these parameters from the simpleusb-tune-menu
program....Check out the 'v' menu option which will give you a real-time
display of the COS (and other) signaling.

If you change settings, make sure to save your changes with the write
('w') command.
