[arm-allstar] Odd Issue With Hamvoip 1.5 - Yaesu FT-8800R and Baofeng GT-3TP

I just had a similar problem with a node using a Yaesu FT-7900.  I could decode tones from all my radios except my Icom 7000.  I turned off the de-emphasis in the node and now it works fine with all radios including the IC-7000.  Chris - W6CS - 73.

Subject: [arm-allstar] Odd Issue With Hamvoip 1.5 - Yaesu FT-8800R and Baofeng GT-3TP

Good evening,

I’m hoping someone out there has an idea of what I should look for. I have setup an AllStarLink node using the latest Hamvoip 1.5 image, a URIx, and a Yaesu FT-8800R Radio.  Everything’s works, except I cannot make a connection through the AllStarLink node using a Baofeng GT-3TP.  Looking at the Asterisk CLI I can see every DTMF tone sent is decoded, EXCEPT the “3”.  Asterisk just doesn’t seem to see or decode the DTMF tone for the “3” Key. I have tried 2 different Baofeng GT-3TP’s, no difference.  Now the really odd thing is using a Yaesu FT-2DR, all the DTMF tones decode.  Also using an Alinco DJ 175 the tones are being decoded properly as well.

I initially thought there was something wrong with the Baofengs, but I have used the same Baofengs through a Yaesu DR-1X repeater to a different AllStarLink node and it works fine.

Any ideas on what to look for would be appreciated.

Thank you and 73,

Stephen
