Hal,
You should observe the tones you are sending in the client to make sure
what you hit on the DTMF pad is actually what is being sent. Also what do
you have duplex set to in rpt.conf? If you are using a simplex node it
should be duplex=1. For a repeater duplex=2. If you have it set to 0
telemetry will be turned off and you will not hear any results of
connections or other responses.
Here is an example of what you should see when you do a *81
