Bryan,
You did not mention, do you have more than one 88? If so does another one
do the same thing? I doubt very much it is the SW. It should not be doing
that but there is a setting in the simpleusb-tune-menu called rxondelay.
This delay s COS by 20ms per step. Setting it to 5 would be 100ms. You can
see if that solves the problem but usually you will find it is an RF issue
and if you get the 888 antenna away from the rest of the system it might
clear up.
