You CAN connect them.  It is not well liked for technical reasons, as 
well as some personal reasons.

If you DO want to connect them, you are NOT prohibited by the license 
conditions, and if you want to play with it then you should, but be 
prepared for a fairly vicious assault from a few different quarters.

I find all the butthurt and poor attitude quite disgusting - just 
letting you know that it's technically feasible, but not well received.
