IRLP runs on Debian in their configuration, with their board, and they configure your node.
arm-allstar runs on arch-linux, you have control of setting up your node, and do not require their custom board.
In other words, the two systems are not compatible in any way shape or form.
I've helped folks set up IRLP, and setup several allstar systems. Allstar is friendlier, and the two do not connect, and should not.
