Along these same lines, I have been looking for the USB fobs that don't have the dreaded blob. I followed the most recent EBay link and those were sold out. Does anyone have a current known good source for the fobs? I have several that I have purchased with the blob that can't be used. Any help in sourcing these would be greatly appreciated since I know these are getting harder to find.

There is slightly more filtering in the DMK product but they both use the same chip. The DMK URI schematic is readily available at their web site and you can compare the differences. The simple FOB has a wider frequency response as one of its uses is for headphone listening of stereo music. This is usually not an issue though as most radios roll off above the communication quality upper limit.
