Well you definitely have to setup simpleusb.conf for your radio either through the script or manually. The default is for the Alinco DRx35 radios or equiv. You also need to set levels with simpleusb-tune-menu.

Only thing I did not do the third time was run the simpleusb.conf its acting when I keyup switching the audio channel and none of the DTMF commands are not working or heard but someone can connect to me. The same thing when happens I can not hear them. When someone is connected I hear the curiosity tone change from a boop to a detle. It's acting as if in Duplex for a repeater.

Marty,
Yes duplex=1 is the norm for simplex operation. Duplex=2 is for repeater.
Not sure what the issue would be. You are using the setup script - running the image from scratch and answering all the questions?

I'm having another issue after I get all the information running the script. I thought I have set my node this way before. I am using Simples so I am choosing Duplex=1 which was for running on Simplex. Whats happing I hear my Curiosity Tone but I can not connect to anything. I had a friend connect to me and I never hear him. It seems to be setup for Repeater Operation. first cpuple of lines of the rpt.conf anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I have redone the script a couple of times with the same results. I must be forgetting a step somewhere I only did this 6~8 months ago and had to redo the working SD because I forgot the login password otherwise I'd leave it working with the other card.
[28523] ; Change this to your assigned node numberrxchannel = SimpleUSB/usbduplex=1
