Marty,
Yes duplex=1 is the norm for simplex operation. Duplex=2 is for repeater.
Not sure what the issue would be. You are using the setup script - running the image from scratch and answering all the questions?

Subject: [arm-allstar] Running script for the first time
I'm having another issue after I get all the information running the script. I thought I have set my node this way before. I am using Simples so I am choosing Duplex=1 which was for running on Simplex. Whats happing I hear my Curiosity Tone but I can not connect to anything. I had a friend connect to me and I never hear him. It seems to be setup for Repeater Operation. first cpuple of lines of the rpt.conf anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I have redone the script a couple of times with the same results. I must be forgetting a step somewhere I only did this 6~8 months ago and had to redo the working SD because I forgot the login password otherwise I'd leave it working with the other card.
[28523] ; Change this to your assigned node numberrxchannel = SimpleUSB/usbduplex=1
