Hi Mike,

Yes, that's basically the method how I currently manage PL tone
frequencies--again, using hamlib.

I guess my point was that there is no completely automatic (computer
controlled) way to do this with the 706mk2g. The user must poke in all the
PL tones manually into memories. If the radio gets reset or anything, they
must all get manually poked in again.

So, potential remote-base users need to know that some radios (like the 
706mk2g) are not just "plug into the computer and play."
