[arm-allstar] Reset?

I set up my Raspberry Pi2 Allstar link node, and found some mistakes I had made. I am new to Linux in general and ended up just deleting the files, formatting the disc, re-imaging it, and running the initial setup program again. It still had my previous settings shown as I went through each one.

Also, I noticed that some of the network settings I made were not being changed. I have been connected a few times, but keep losing connection. A couple of WAY more experienced people got it connected again, but it dropped out again. 

Could some of this be stored in the Pi itself, and need clearing? Is there a hard reset procedure? is there a need for one?
