Dave,

Congratulations on getting your BBB up. To me Zopier is a pain in the butt and probably not a good way to start. Actually from an iphone echolink works better but you can set that up later.

Download iaxrpt -

http://www.xelatec.com/xipar/iaxrpt

and install it under windows. There is a howto on the web page on how to set it up and create an account to your BBB. When you configured your node you were asked if you wanted to setup an iaxrpt password. If you did not go back and run the config again - you can hot enter and get all your last answers - when it asks if you want to set an iaxrpt pw say yes and enter one. You will use this when you setup the account as described in the howto.

Once setup you can connect to your node from iaxrpt and use your PC to connect to nodes. But you really do need to move your PC node to the BBB or go to allstarlink.org and setup another server and node. Without that you cannot connect anywhere. It is as simple as turning off the PC and putting the node and PW it used in your BBB. You can't have them both running at the same time that way but maybe you want to retire the PC?? If you have a radio on the PC you can move that over also. If you have port forwarding setup in your router you would need to change the address to the BBB.

You can run the node config over and over to change things. It does not remember the voice ID text though so you will have to reenter that. To run it again at the Linux prompt -

node-config.sh
If that is not clear let me know.

So I think I have a simplex node of Allstar up on a BBB. ;-) Its so much easier than doing a PC install I would say. thanks for the great directions. I am using the 1998 port for now.
I do have a registered node but its on a PC and I have never really done anything with it.
I have a URI connected but for now no radio.
I am trying to access it with Zoiper from Iphone. I figured that should be a good way to test things out at a simple level. I am a rather simple guy :-)

I have got it as far as Zoiper says VE7PKEBB is ready.
when I try to dail soemthiogn like 1998 I get a bong and connection error :3
What is the next step?

I am sure there may be others at this step or close to it.
Please give me some pointers or tell me where to look.
This is so exciting to get going.

Thanks
Dave
