[arm-allstar] dtmf macros for repeater control

Thanks Doug, that was valuable information which I will put to use.
However my current need is similar to that which what Dr. Schreuder
described. I did not adequately explain, will try again. Thanks a million
for your patience!
I wish to transmit DTMF thru RF from my node Rpi and radio to our local
repeater's Arcom controller, commands which will alter the repeater's
behavior.
What I think would be ideal is a capability to execute a macro command from
say the telephone access portal or a ""rpt fun node *xx" thru ssh that
would initiate a macro that would make my node key its radio and output
predetermined dtmf commands via RF. For instance commands telling the local
VHF repeater controller to connect/disconnect or monitor one of it's UHF
link radio ports to the main VHF repeater port.
The link radio I am using on my node is not capable of storing or executing
dtmf macros.

Thank you!
