Joe and Dave,

FYI: The codec for Experimental nodes is defined back when you requested the
EXP node.

The codec is hard set at the server level for your Experimental node.
I have an Experimental node 0067 I think, defined to be UNCOMP codec.  Can
be default set to any default codec by informing IRLP group.

Also the setting for calling experimental nodes is allowed in the current
"environment" file.
So I am not sure why someone cannot connect to one.  I would need an exp
number to call to test.
