[arm-allstar] Is it Possibltt to install HAMVOIP without flashing an image?

Dave,
Sorry I didn't see your earlier question. I am on vacation in Florida
until April. I have 2 Raspberry Pi's with me. One is a PiZero2W, the other
is the Pi4,8G. I don't have a card reader here either.

If I decide to not set this aside, I could get a card reader as a last
resort or .... just wait until April when more resources become available at
home.

Well, the setup on the Pi4 , 8Gig is just an attached touch screen display
and a SHARI. It only has the one sd card in it, and that is 16Gb. I can
easily flash this card with hamvoip and get my node up and running. The
issue is that I run out of space when I try and load up the card with other
useful programs...

I have been experimenting/tinkering with HAMVOIP, as well as the other Pi
programs.
I thought it might even be neat to write some code to take a DTMF tone and
then email or ftp an image capture elsewhere.
Not sure what my rationale is on loading other programs on the pi, just
that, the HAMVOIP image leave lots of free space that I could otherwise add
some stuff.

I think the biggest thought of using the space it to get my display
working and showing the status of the node in a web browser with timed
updates ...something like that,.

Jeff,

As I already requested, earlier, do you have a separate linux box
available? If so, this resizing process is simple. If you only have the
one RPi4B, then you can use it, booted with a second (different) SD card,
used to resize the first SD card, via a USB card reader.

As a first step, tell my more about your setup?
