Doug, The command you're asking about is as root:
If you're using SSH, iwlist scan wlan0
if you're at the console, iwlist scan wlan0 | less
But, I recommend that you restart from scratch. Hard reset
the router. That will put it back to factory specs.
Somewhere on all routers is the factory default wifi SSID and password.
Once you reset the router back to factory you can use item 7 in the Allstar
admin page to setup wifi in the node.
But, I always do this: as root: nano /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant_custom-wlan0.conf
In that file you'll type this and case is very important:
network{
ssid="the ssid name"
psk="the password"
}
then type control x then type y and then enter, that saves the file.
Once you get the wifi going log into the router admin page using the web
browser method and change the default login credentials and anything
else you want to make yours including the wifi SSID and Passwd.
Good luck, Dave, KL7M

Is there a script, or command, that can be run to view any WiFi output
when establishing a WiFi connection?
I just replaced an old asus router with a ubiquiti router and all 3 of
my Pi 3b pluses won't connect anymore.
I left the WiFi SSID and password the same to avoid this problem, but it
didn't seem to help.
I tried configuring the AP to
only use 2.4 or 5 g, and that didn't work.
I connected the pi via ethernet and ran through the wifi setup under
menu option 7.
I'm all out of ideas, and I'm hoping there is some way to manually
initiate the WiFi connection and hopefully get some useful information
to track down the problem.
