[arm-allstar] problem connecting to WiFi

Is there a script, or command, that can be run to view any WiFi output 
when establishing a WiFi connection?
I just replaced an old asus router with a ubiquiti router and all 3 of 
my Pi 3b pluses won't connect anymore.
I left the WiFi SSID and password the same to avoid this problem, but it 
didn't seem to help.
I tried configuring the AP to
  only use 2.4 or 5 g, and that didn't work.
I connected the pi via ethernet and ran through the wifi setup under 
menu option 7.
I'm all out of ideas, and I'm hoping there is some way to manually 
initiate the WiFi connection and hopefully  get some useful information 
to track down the problem.
