Greetings:

With the explosion (almost literally until a couple of days ago) of the 
new Repeaterphone for iOS, and the slowly increasing general 
availability of DVSM 2.0, a thing that is coming up constantly in 
various places is the question of how to get DVSM/Repeaterphone to show 
the node list again.

Of course, with HamVoIP v1.7x, you can enable this in rpt.conf with 
phonesendlinks=1, but not every node owner will do that.

I have done this with all my public-facing HamVoIP nodes.

However, this may be a good thing to keep as default in future versions, 
with the option of disabling if needed. I do have such requirements, but 
mostly for private nodes with SIP phones attached, which don't do well 
with all those variable dumps being thrown at them.

What was the reasoning for making this an opt-in rather than an opt-out 
condition?
