Hi Barry,
Well, it may be a scam, we'll know in another couple weeks. It's
interesting that the prices have now gone way up. That leads me to think
this may have been using low introductory pricing to build a customer base
for this store.
You mention that AliExpress (or the seller) might be performing some kind
of short-term "investment" scam. I think that is VERY UNLIKELY! While PP
and CC companies once had loopholes where sellers to get away with this
type of activity, that is no longer the case--those days are GONE!!
PP and all CC companies I know of now ALWAYS charge their handling fees to
the seller at the point funds are released to the seller. Those fees
don't get refunded if the seller later issues a refund to the buyer!!
So, in the case of PP, if the seller tried to pull some stunt like this,
they'll be eating perhaps 2.9% of the transaction totals!! They would
have to get some crazy high ROI to make money like that!! LOL

This is interesting.
My thoughts on this "scam?".
By offering these crazy prices, lots of potential customers will pay up
front using PayPal.
AliExpress hold that cash in their bank for 11 days from where it can be
invested short term.
Looking at my order progress I see:
"This order will ship in 11 days. If not, your refund will be issued
automatically."
I suspect that none will be shipped at those prices and the automatic
refunds will just happen.
By using products in a niche market they do not draw too much attention
to what I think is probably a clever, fully automated cash making
system, using other people's capital.
We will see!
My 2 cents worth!
Barry
