[arm-allstar] Radioless nodes, hoping someone can help

Everybody has an opinion and it does matter if you are visually impaired as
to what works good for you.
I like Zoiper, it's free, it's easy to install, I don't need anything in
the car, I can use my cellphone anywhere anytime
to connect and control my node without moving it, the best part I like
about voip phones and zoiper is they are full duplex
which means if you are in transmit mode you can still hear someone if they
happen to key up with you, unlike using
a ptt mic with or without the rf interface like an HT or mobile or base
radio that mode is only simplex, receive or transmit
but not both at the same time. Another great thing I have setup is google
home assistant,I helped a blind ham friend
set it up and with his input we totally redone our dtmf structure to make
more sense. I send voice commands and don't
even have to touch a keyboard, like I said this is so much fun and everyone
does things the way they like, and it is so
nice to have this forum to be able to share your experiences so others can
enjoy them as well.
Patrick has shared some nice ascending and descending tones that play on my
node and others that I have programmed
for them, the tone is much better than all the node numbers and call signs
when someone connects, just like RF, you never know
when someone turns on there radio unless they keyup, so why do we need to
know when someone connects to our node just
having their morning coffee and wants to listen, point is there are so many
choices with this software and it's pretty easy to use.
Thank you All who have contributed and are helping others.
