[arm-allstar] Help with home built Allstar node

Most of my BF888s I have the following set:

invertptt  = 0 (requires pulling to ground to activate)

carrierfrom = usbinvert

ctcssfrom = usbinvert

deemphasis = no

preemphasis = 0

plfilter = no

Then on the BF888s I wire the receive audio to the center tap of the volume switch,

wire the mic audio inout from the Pi to the right connection where you removed the microphone off the board on the transmit radio,

wire the ptt line from the Pi to the ptt spot on the main board next to the speaker connections or the ptt line on the side pad where the monitor and ptt pad is,

then I program the radio for encode and decode (PL/DCS required for both TX & RX)

and all works well.

Hi All,
I’m new to Allstar. I am building a new node, using a Pi 3, Hamvoip soft ware, Baofeng 888 and a modified CM 108 usb sound card. After much effort, it seems it is nearly working. All star sees my node, and the radios are talking to each other on power up. However, when I turn on my node, the 888 starts to Tx and stays Tx’ing until the 888 Tx default time out kicks in. When I PTT my external ht the node briefly goes into Rx, then again defaults to Tx for the default period.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated.
