Hi Folks,

I've been fiddling with control tones and can't figure out "remotect".

When is it played ?

My reading indicates it plays when the local user unkeys (i.e. the user
transmitting into the node) - WHEN the node IS connected to another
node, default is "bee-bop".

 From the "How to":

unlinkedct=ct2 ; Sent when not connected to another node
remotect=ct3 ; Sent when remote base connected
linkunkeyct=ct8 ; sent when a network user unkey

The folks over at AllStarLink.org describe it a little differently:
This courtesy tone will be sent in addition to any other courtesy tone
when a remote base is connected to the node. The default is to send
telemetry stanza key ct3

However, I've changed the value in rpt.conf and it seemingly doesn't
have any effect, stays at the default "bee-bop"

I've checked that I don't have multiple instances, tested the specific
Custom Tone so I know it works in other places e.g. linkunkeyct.

The other 2 work just fine.

Bemused ... likely misunderstanding the tone's meaning.

Best,
Gerry.
