In rpt.conf under [functions<node>] add these two lines and use whatever
numbers are available for you, I used 980 and 981.
You dtmf touch tone *980 and the transmitter shuts off as well as link
traffic with no announcement, then when you are ready *981 to turn the
transmissions back on.
An announcement will come on "r p t enabled" , there maybe other ways, I
have tested this one but haven't needed to use it.
981=cop,2 ;system enable
980=cop,3 ;system disable
