Perhaps my comments were a little so strong about RPi availability.
They're certainly still available and will continue to be available, but
just not available from every reseller out there, at any time, in any
quantity you want. The prices have also increases somewhat.
For example, Adafruit has RPi3A+ and RPi4 boards in stock right now.

Buy a few spare boards and sit them on the shelf, just like most of us
have already done.
BTW, if you've looked at the price and availability of new PC computer
hardware, the same problem is present---poor selection / availability and
in some cases sky-high prices!
